Reporting
Retrieves performance data for our campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords and search terms, and combines it with partner payout data so we can see the return of each campaign in one place.
Platform
An internal reporting and campaign management tool, designed around the Google Ads API. It is for our use only, and it works only with Google Ads accounts that Growdiginow itself owns and operates.
What it does
Running search campaigns by hand is slow and error-prone. The platform is designed to take over the repetitive parts, so that decisions are made on complete, current data.
Retrieves performance data for our campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords and search terms, and combines it with partner payout data so we can see the return of each campaign in one place.
Creates and updates campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords and negative keywords in bulk, and adjusts budgets and bids according to rules that we define and review.
Checks budget pacing, policy status and unusual changes in performance, and notifies us so that issues such as disapproved ads are corrected quickly.
How it connects
The platform is designed to talk to Google Ads through the official Google Ads API, using OAuth 2.0 credentials from our own Google Cloud project. There is no intermediary service, and no one outside the business can sign in.
Google Ads API usage
We want this to be unambiguous.
| Accounts accessed | Only Google Ads accounts that Growdiginow itself owns and operates for its own advertising. The platform does not access accounts belonging to clients or any other third party. |
|---|---|
| Users | Growdiginow only: the people who run the business. There is no public sign-up, and the tool is not sold, licensed or otherwise offered to anyone else. |
| Authentication | OAuth 2.0 with the Google Ads API scope, authorized by the owner of the Google Ads accounts. |
| Data read | Account identifiers and account structure; settings of campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords and negative keywords; budgets, bids and targeting settings; policy and approval status; search terms reports; and performance statistics such as impressions, clicks, cost, conversions and conversion value. |
| Changes made | Creating, updating and pausing campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords and negative keywords, and adjusting budgets and bids, always within our own accounts. |
| Storage | Reporting data is kept in a private database that only we can access. API credentials are stored securely and are never shared. |
| Sharing | Data obtained through the API is not sold, and is not passed to advertisers, affiliate networks, publishers or any other third party for their own use. It is processed only by the infrastructure providers that host our systems on our behalf, and disclosed only where the law requires it. |
Responsible use
The platform is built to follow the Google Ads API Terms and Conditions and Google’s developer policies, and to stay within the rate limits and quotas of our access level.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
API access can be revoked at any time from the Google Account that granted it. Credentials stay with us and are never passed to anyone outside the business.
If you need more detail about how we use the Google Ads API, write to us and we will answer.
